Kind of excited here...
I just received word this morning my novel, Long Ride to Limbo, has been nominated as the Best Western Novel of 2010 by the Western Fictioneers, a professional writing organization. This is thrilling for several reasons: being nominated by a panel of peers who are well established in the Western fiction field; and the fact that my publisher, Rebecca J. Vickery is now playing on the same field as Berkley and Dorchester. The fact the book is dedicated to James Stacy and Antigoni makes it even sweeter. Long Ride is out in both e-book and print. The second book in the series, South to Purgatory, will be out later this year. So, a big "thank you" to everyone out there who has been so supportive. Without your encouragement, none of this would have happened.

And the New Year started when?
Well, we all these lovely New Years Resolutions and then they just get away from you! But then we can redeem ourselves at Lent...and when you miss that...
I am going to try to be better about posting news; not only we what is going on story wise for me, but on other subjects and authors as well.
So, please bear with me. My goal to start is to make sure I log in once a week, on Fridays or Saturdays. Remember, we'd like input, too. What are your gripes about publishing, what you would like to see out there; also what your own plans are regarding getting your own work out there.
Hopefully, we really are in a New Year that will be a good one.
Remember, we are still working on getting Lancer on DVD; so be sure to check out All Things Lancer @ http://legendsandloners.blogspot.com/ and to sign the petition. We'd like lots of numbers to display at GOGIII in Memphis.
On a personal note: Jason Kilkenny's Gun is out on Amazon now!

Coming attractions:

Diane Craver is hosting Victory Tales Press at her site; please stop by and check out our authors while sharing some Holiday news.
My day is Thursday. This is a new experience for me, so I'm hoping I don't screw up. But then, Murphy's Law always seems to crop up now and then.
Keep your fingers crossed!

Hope that everyone has had a great beginning for the Holiday season!

Long Ride to Limbo is up!!
Just a head's up for everyone checking in. "Long Ride to Limbo" is now available in E-book format. The print version will be coming soon, too.
This is book one in a western trilogy that will feature the same characters throughout the series.
Also, this book is dedicated to James Stacy, who also graciously allowed me to include his Fan Site address in the dedication, along with the mention of "Lancer". There is also a hat's off to Antigoni who, I feel, has been responsible for so much of what has been going on for James and for getting him really out there for his fans. And, of course, for her efforts to reunite James and Wayne.
I hope you all enjoy the stories. And thank you for dropping by.

All Things Lancer
I started a second blog; which Corky is co-author on (just like this one -- hate to croak without someone being able to take over as head demon); although I kind of shanghied her. I always did count backwards.
Am working on two more non-Lancer fictions, one even has a little love story in it; the other is going as a proposal for a potential series to Berkley. That one is about twin brothers, Chance and Noble Blessing. (Okay, so their Dad had a wacky sense of humor: but it took five tries to get his sons. It's a guy thing.)
And there is the ANC. Notes today. Johnny will be in lots of trouble. What else?
